Travelling by train is certainly a relaxing way to go, but often it can be very expensive depending upon how far you are travelling and your destination. If you want to find some cheap train tickets for your next journey, consider some of these tips that should help you do so.
One thing that you may want to do is to simply shop around as much as you can. Depending upon where you are travelling, you may be able to get different tickets from different ticket offices that vary significantly in price. Look for a few different options and try to identify is something that is cheaper.

You might consider taking a slightly roundabout route in order to get to your destination as well. If you are simply travelling as the crow flies straight to your intended destination along a busy travel route this will often cost you more money. Instead, but a couple of tickets that take you around the houses and you may be able to save some cash.

Essentially, try to avoid very busy and very popular locations. Instead of travelling straight into the centre of the big city that you are travelling to, consider getting a ticket to the previous stop and then finding an alternative mode of travel in order to get to your final destination.

Often by booking in advance you will be able to slash a great percentage of the cost of your ticket. In many cases, you can save well over 50% by taking this option, and so consider when you will be travelling as early as you can.
